"It is obvious that TRIMIT Furniture is built on know-how from the furniture industry, and that it has been developed on the basis of several years of knowledge from other furniture companies."
With these words, Fredericia Furniture's Project Leader Hanne Skovbo expresses her satisfaction with the standard solution TRIMIT Furniture on Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Production and Distribution of Popular Furniture Classics Requires Tight Control
Being closely connected with Børge Mogensen’s famous design and furniture, the Danish furniture company Fredericia Furniture experience great demand for their furniture.
In order to maintain and enable future growth and control expenses, the company needed a tight control of the entire business.
Therefore, the management of the acknowledged furniture company chose to implement TRIMIT Furniture on Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Formerly Navision) as their new IT-platform.
A Furniture Solution and a Standard System at the Same Time
In order to secure the internal implementation of the solution, the company hired the professional full-time leader, Hanne Skovbo, as the project leader of the implementation.
As a result of her experience, she chose to buy a system that is as close to being a standard solution as possible. This way, it is easy to manage and update to new versions at a low cost, whilst keeping up with time and development. The system must not stand in the way of future development.
“That’s why we chose TRIMIT Furniture. It is the best system on the market for our industry. It has the advantage of being a standard system and a niche solution, which corresponds well with our needs for IT-support because we don’t have to depend on expensive consultants who have to adjust the system every time we need to change minor details,” says Hanne Skovbo.
Increased Transparency Throughout all Processes with TRIMIT Furniture
TRIMIT Furniture supports all processes within the entire company: buying to stock, production, economy, wages, CRM and sales.
“We seize the opportunity to digest all our processes. We will take our starting point in the Lean philosophy about reducing waste, creating flow, and establishing gradual improvements. We already produce 100% to order only. Still, we have an increased focus on reducing our stock of intermediate and medium quality goods.
Furthermore, we also focus on controlling the deliveries from our subcontractors to make it Just-in-Time. The prerequisites for these kinds of improvements are increased transparency and the ability to plan, which TRIMIT Furniture enables us to do,” says Hanne Skovbo.
